We lost a day's worth of pictures. Yesterdays. :-( Something was wrong with our card and the files were all corrupted. Too bad, I would have loved to show you the pictures from Independence Hall in Philadelphia, where the Declaration of Independence and US Constitution were signed. I had a nice picture of the sunlight coming through a green-curtained window and shining over the desks. I also could have shown you a picture of the Liberty Bell. And the US Mint, a huge imposing building which requires picture ID (they like to see you traipse back to the parking garage to go get it), and which also does NOT allow cameras inside (they like to see you traipse back a second time to the parking garage to put them away.) It was interesting to see all of the different designs on our coins, and how they are made.
Possibly the cutest pictures were of the kids on the beach. They had a wonderful time just running around the beach and finding shells and rocks. Picture them wearing jackets, with jeans rolled up above the knees, wading in the ocean. All it took was one wave a little higher than they expected, and soon we had kids swimming in their jeans and jackets. Then trudging home in wet, salty, sandy, falling-off jeans. Too funny. Ocean City was a pretty cute little town, though we were there off-season. We tried to rearrange our schedule to be there on the weekend, but couldn't. Too bad, because they had funnel cake, pretzel, pizza, and fudge shops galore. All closed! They also have a cool waterslide right there on the beach, and go-carts. It was almost all closed down for the season. Even so, it was fun to see the boardwalk (literal boards) and just to play in the Atlantic Ocean for a bit.

On the porch as we were leaving.
