pumpkin party

Have you seen these? It is like Mr. Potato Head meets the Jack-O-Lantern. Brilliant! Each box has enough pieces to make 3-4 pumpkin faces. Each piece has a little spear on the other end--you just push it into the pumpkin. I found them in the Crazy Aisle of Walmart. There were a few different varieties...animals, monsters, etc.

Our pumpkins have already had a few different face transplants. Very fun and very easy. And you don't have to worry about your pumpkin shriveling into a moldy heap before the big day. Of course you could still carve the pumpkin when it gets closer to Halloween...and then let it shrivel into a moldy heap. After the big day.

The plastic surgeons.

We had a little Halloween feast tonight. Really there was nothing about the meal that screamed Halloween...no spaghetti with meatballs, peeled grapes, or anything...but we lit some candles and the pumpkins and it was quite exciting!

So, tell me, where exactly do I find the "Crazy Aisle" at Walmart?? Our Walmart doesn't appear to be that much fun.....

At our walmart they were just in the seasonal Halloween section. There were lots of little things around...spider rings, pumpkin carving stuff, accessories for costumes, etc. I think they were lined up in flat boxes. I measured the container and it is about 9" x 5", to give you an idea of scale. It says "Pumpkin Push Ins" at the top and it cost $3.50.
