Arlington National Cemetary

Miles and miles of grave markers like this. It really did feel like sacred ground. It was humbling to realize the courage and sacrifice that were given for our freedom.

The kids at the tomb of the unknown soldier. I was proud of them for being quiet and respectful. Trying to be reverent each Sunday helps in more ways than one!

This is one of the quotes engraved at the John F. Kennedy gravesite, from his inagural address:

“Let every nation know, whether it wishes us well or ill, that we shall pay any price -- bear any burden -- Meet any hardship -- support any friend -- Oppose any foe -- to assume the survival and the success of liberty.”

I wonder if JFK knew his price then? That's amazing.

Cute, cute kids!
